A few years ago I was flying from Delhi to Bangalore. Being an introvert and a bit of 'fattu' I always found it difficult to strike a conversation with the fairer sex.
Air hostesses are generally pretty but this particular girl on that Jet Airways flight was just too good. I was not able to take my eyes off her. Being in an aisle seat I could get a glimpse of her, every time she passed by. I wanted to compliment her but didn't have enough guts to do that.
It was a late evening flight and post the dinner I was listening to music eyes closed when someone tapped my shoulder. To my surprise it was the same hostess. The first thing that struck me was "S**t she caught me staring her now I am screwed". But to my amazement she bent down and slowly whispered in my ear "Sir can I tell you something? You have a very sweet smile".
Oh boy....I was on cloud 9. The girl whom I wanted to compliment, complimented me. Never had it happened to me. I just couldn't stop blushing. All I could mutter was a 'Thank you'.
For rest of the journey all I could think was her. While alighting the flight she was at the exit thanking passengers. As I neared the exit she said 'Thank you sir. Keep smiling'.
The plane had landed but I was still FLYING.
